2009-2010 Season
December 8, 2009 at 7:00 pm in Bill Heard Theater, RiverCenter
James Palmer conducts the string orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra. Free General Admission.
The youth symphony will perform classical repertoire to include Bizet's L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2, Orpheus in the Underworld Overture by Offenbach. Both orchestras will also perform some familiar holiday music to welcome the season.

Pops Concert and Luncheon.
Both Orchestras, conducted by James Palmer, will perform music from Broadway plays following a lunch buffet. Ticket prices will include full lunch buffet and the concert. More information to come about this event.
March 4, 2010 morning concerts (DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
MEASURING MUSIC educational concerts for elementary and middle school students introducing them to an orchestra and symphonic music. Skits, Music and FUN! All public, private and home school classes are welcome. FREE General Admission; large group reservations required. "This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the City of Columbus through the Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance and the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau."

The "Maestro for a Moment" winner will conduct the orchestra for the final performance. This concert will impress and entertain you as it culminates the season of rehearsals, performances, sectionals and master classes to end the 2009-2010 season.

Jilaine Jarvis conducts the string orchestra and Rob Rumbelow conducts the youth symphony orchestra premiering the orchestral arrangement "Face of Honor" composed by Dr. Rumbelow for the Youth orchestra. General Admission tickets may be purchased at the RiverCenter box office: $10.00 adults; $5.00 children.
Complimentary tickets available for all music educators.
February 8, 2009 at 7:00 pm in Legacy Hall, RiverCenter
"SUNDAE" Night at the Movies pops concert and ice cream sundae social. Orchestras will perform music from some favorite new and classic movies. Jilaine Jarvis conducts the string orchestra and Andre Gaskins conducts the youth symphony orchestra. Each $5 RAFFLE ticket includes a chance to win some great prizes including a $500 cash grand prize and one trip to the ice cream bar to create your own sundae. RAFFLE tickets will be sold at the door or can be purchased from any YOGC musician or board member. Admission to the concert is free.
March 23, 2009 at 9:00 and 10:30 am in Bill Heard Theater, RiverCenter Educational Concerts celebrating Music Education in our Schools.
Audience will be introduced to the instruments and sounds of a symphony orchestra and learn how music relates to math and science thru live skits and games.
FREE General Admission. Large groups require reservation.
